Profile

An Indonesian analyst,trained in America.

Bambang Wirayuda has spent more than twenty-five years in the American financial industry — first as a student of finance, then as an analyst of its companies, cycles and risks.

Bambang Wirayuda was born in Indonesia and completed his early education there before travelling to the United States to continue his studies. He completed his university and professional finance education in America and chose to remain there, building a career across investment research, market strategy and asset allocation.

His professional life has been spent reading the American equity market: the structure of its indices, the rhythm of its earnings cycles, and the way investor sentiment turns before the data does. Having worked through several full market cycles, he has developed a particular respect for what cannot be forecast — and for the discipline that makes that uncertainty survivable.

Today he serves as Chief Analyst at NEA Group, where his work spans global macro and market research, technology and semiconductor coverage, corporate fundamentals, opportunity screening, portfolio optimisation and risk management.

“You cannot control the market. You can control the size of the bet, the quality of the analysis, and the discipline with which you hold both.”
